Dexamethasone is a glucocorticosteroid with a strong antiphlogistic, anti-allergic and gluconeogenetic action.

Dexamethasone may be used whenever a parenteral corticosteroid preparation giving a medium duration of activity is indicated. It can be used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic agent in cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, and horses. The product can also be used to induce parturition in cattle. Dexamethasone is suitable for treatment of acetone anaemia, allergies, arthritis, bursitis, shock and tendovaginitis.

Horses, cattle, pigs: 0.6ml / 50kg body weight injected intramuscularly. Repeat once at 24 to 48 hours intervals, if necessary.
