Quinovet
Description
Enrofloxacin belongs to the group of quinolones and acts bactericidal against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Mycoplasma spp.
Indications
Cattle: Treatment of diseases of the respiratory and alimentary tract of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin and secondary bacterial infections subsequent to viral conditions (e.g viral pneumonia). Treatment of local signs (inflammation, milk quality and yield) associated with peracute / acute mastitis in lactating dairy cattle caused by E. Coli. Pigs: Treatment of diseases of the respiratory and alimentary tract of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin. Multifactorial diseases such as atrophic rhinitis and enzootic pneumonia.
Dosage
Cattle and pigs: 2.5ml / 100kg body weight daily for 3 days. This rate may be doubled (5ml / 100kg) for 5 days for salmonellosis and complicated respiratory disease. Cattle: by subcutaneous injection. Pigs: by intramuscular injection. Side Effects Administration to young animals during growth can cause cartilage lesions in joints. Hypersensitivity reactions.
