As a broad spectrum antibiotic with bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, for use in cats, small dogs and birds.
Effective in the treatment of infection of the respiratory tract, urogenital tract, the skin and localised infections, in soft tissue. In dogs, it may also be effective in the treatment of infections of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dilute 200g of product in 1L of drinking water. The recommended dose rate is 1ml to 1.5ml Cefalexol 50% per 10 kg body weight twice daily. Treatment for 5 days is recommended.
The following is intended as a guide:
Dogs: 11kg to 20kg body weight: 1.0ml to 3.0ml twice daily.
6kg to 10kg body weight: 0.5ml to 1.5ml twice daily.
5kg and less body weight: 0.5ml to 1.0ml twice daily.
Cats: Average dose rate: 0.5ml twice daily.
Birds: Administration via drinking water. The dosage is 0.25g to 0.5g Cefalexol 50% Powder per liter of water.
