Oxytocin
Description
Oxytocin injection for cows, mares, ewes, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
Indications
Aid in the treatment of dystocia due to uterine inertia; evacuating tissue and debris from the uterus in pyometra or endometritis; preventing or controlling postpartum uterine haemorrhage; uncomplicated agalactia in cows (milk let-down); induction and acceleration of normal parturition.
Dosage
Intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection; may be repeated as needed. Cattle and horses: 2ml to 5ml per head. Pigs, goats and sheep: 1ml to 2ml per head. Dogs and cats: 0.5ml to 1ml per head.
