Antimicrobial solutions that work.

Lipotide is a new generation cyclic lipopeptide (L20RX83) that has shown strong antibacterial activity against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and is also effective in controlling coccidiosis in poultry. It is effective against bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. and Enterococcus spp.

Key benefits of Lipotide

  • Heat-stable

Antimicrobial activity remains >90% at 150°C for 30 minutes.

  • 0-day withdrawal

No withdrawal period for meat, egg or byproducts.

  • Acid-stable

Not affected by acidic pH or contact with acidifiers.

  • In vivo and in vitro effective

  • Sustainable

Production and usage does not damage the environment.

  • Low resistance development

Bacteria is slow to develop resistance against Lipotide.

Alternative Antibiotic Growth Promoter (AAGP)

Lipotide belongs to the class of cyclic lipopeptides, which are known for their strong antibacterial activity. Lipotide disrupts the cell wall of gram-positive bacteria, causing the bacteria to lose their structural integrity and leads to death. Specifically, Lipotide binds to lipid II, a key precursor in the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, and prevents its incorporation into the cell wall.

Field trial results

  • University of Veterinary Science, Yezin, Myanmar
  • February–June 2022
  • 6 closed houses
  • 8,000 ISA White pullets per house

The field trial conducted on Lipotide was carried out in Myanmar by the University of Veterinary Science, Yezin between February–June 2022. The trial involved 6 closed houses, with 2 houses allocated per group and 8,000 ISA White pullets per house. The three groups were: treated with Lipotide, treated with lincomycin hydrochloride, and untreated. Significant results were observed in the Lipotide-treated group, which showed a difference of 33% in mortality rates compared to the untreated group and similar results when compared to the group treated with lincomycin hydrochloride.

These results demonstrate Lipotide’s potential as a beneficial solution for the poultry industry in terms of enhanced health and productivity. Its antimicrobial properties offer a novel approach to combat bacterial infections and improve overall chicken well-being in the poultry sector.

The successful trial in Myanmar, conducted in a large-scale setting with 6 closed houses and three distinct groups, underscores the potential of Lipotide as a practical and effective solution for real-world poultry farming.
